The Affiliated Workers Association (AWA), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing representation, tools, and resources to its members, is proud to announce new partnerships and upgraded resources designed to further help its members navigate the challenges of managing their business, healthcare, and financial well-being.
AWA’s new initiatives are the response to the evolving needs of small businesses, and they’re based on the feedback provided directly by AWA’s members. AWA is taking a fresh approach to health solutions, digital tools for modern businesses, and the organization’s renewed focus on small-business advocacy.
“The insights we gathered from our recent member survey were invaluable. They’ve helped us shape new offerings that address real needs, from access to affordable healthcare options to enhanced business support tools, “ said Neil Peterson, AWA President.
Peterson also added that partnerships with ManhattanLife Insurance Company and TME Travel are key to the new initiatives that reflect AWA’s dedication to delivering access to affordable, high-value benefits that provide peace of mind and real-world value.
The partnership with ManhattanLife Insurance Company will provide new membership tiers offering fixed indemnity benefits for hospital and accident coverage, along with discounts that promote both financial security and personal savings. A similar approach to the TME Travel partnership; it will provide AWA members with access to comprehensive travel insurance plans.
The latter is particularly beneficial to entrepreneurs and business owners who tend to travel a lot. In addition to these partnerships, the AWA is also strengthening its collaboration with other small-business organizations, such as Small Business Majority and SBE Council.
Both of these organizations advocate for advancing policies and initiatives that encourage entrepreneurship and small business growth, as well as policies that protect the interests of independent workers and small business owners.
This is particularly important since small businesses are the backbone of the US economy, and this collaboration allows AWA members to participate in a push for real changes at policy levels. This participation comes as a direct result of feedback provided by AWA members.
According to a recent survey conducted by Drive Research, AWA members voiced their need for more accessible health coverage, enhanced business support tools, and more responsive communication channels. Thus, AWA developed these new initiatives and launched an improved chat feature within the Member Portal.
The improved chat is meant to streamline the members’ access to resources and provide them with faster answers to their inquiries through a more personalized support experience rather than only providing a call queue or emails.
“We believe that strong support comes from listening and evolving. That’s why we’ve enhanced our member portal with new tools and will continue to introduce resources that make a difference in our members’ lives,” said Amanda Boyd, Executive Director for AWA.
Going forward, the AWA will continue to refine and expand its offerings based on the feedback provided by its members. The organization continues its commitment to providing regular updates through its newsletter, Members Corner, and across social media platforms.
The Affiliated Workers Association is a membership-based organization that offers l industry-leading benefits, services, and resources to small business owners, entrepreneurs, and independent workers across the US.
These benefits range from healthcare and insurance to small business advocacy, and they’re particularly designed to help AWA members navigate the challenges associated with running and growing a business.
