The case, Hickman v. James & Bentz, Inc., dba The Pointe Malibu Recovery Center, et al., Case No. 25SMCV04669, is pending in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles and concerns a former patient's stay at the Malibu residential treatment facility, during which the patient was hospitalized, according to publicly filed court records.
