Caseyville, Illinois — Katie L. Dargan is a faith-based author whose work centers on spiritual truth, inner accountability, and the formation of identity. Her book, Snippets of the Truth Series: You and Self, introduces readers to a framework for understanding the inner conflict between the spirit and the flesh and the consequences of allowing the flesh to govern the inner life.

Through her company Kaleeda, an ecommerce platform that offers specialty greeting cards and faith based nonfiction and poetry books, Dargan brings this message to readers who are seeking spiritual growth and clearer understanding of the inner life.
In Snippets of the Truth Series: You and Self, Katie L. Dargan examines what she describes as the divide between the true self God created and a false identity built through the five senses. She refers to this flesh-led identity as the “Body Man” and the “False-Self,” and she presents these concepts as central obstacles to spiritual growth. The book draws from scripture and lived experience to explain how repeated flesh-based decisions form habits, habits form identity, and identity can replace spiritual authority.
Rather than approaching faith as an outward practice alone, Snippets of the Truth Series: You and Self focuses on the inner life. Katie L. Dargan frames salvation as full deliverance, where the flesh is brought into submission and the spirit is restored to its intended role. The work challenges surface-level belief and calls for awareness, responsibility, and disciplined obedience.
Katie L. Dargan began writing poetry as a teenager, using writing as a means of expression during early personal hardship. Her first published poetry book, Choose To Be Happy, marked the beginning of her published work. She describes her writing as guided by spiritual inspiration and maintains a deliberate commitment to clarity and restraint, avoiding embellishment in favor of directness.
Snippets of the Truth Series: You and Self is the first volume in an ongoing series. Future volumes will continue to explore themes of spiritual identity, truth, and growth.
The book is written for readers seeking deeper understanding of the inner spiritual life and for those who sense unresolved conflict beneath outward faith. It serves as an introduction to Katie L. Dargan’s perspective on spiritual responsibility and the work of inner transformation.
About the Author
Katie L. Dargan has an education in Radiology and Hematology, and her path into writing began without a planned decision to become an author. She explains that she “just wrote” in response to early hardships, and over time she began to receive inspirations of the Holy Spirit about what to write and how to write it.
She first began writing poetry as a teenager, and her first published poetry book was Choose To Be Happy. She describes her teens as a period marked by ill choices and early pregnancies, and she says her life spiraled out of control until, through God’s grace, she came to Christ. Writing became an outlet for her, a way to express to herself what she could not express to others.
Although she admires other writers, Katie L. Dargan does not consider them her literary influences. She says her writing is shaped by inspiration from God rather than external influence. She also does not follow a fixed routine or ritual. She states that she simply writes what she receives by inspiration. She describes her writing style in three words as creative, descriptive, and persuasive.
One challenge she names is the discipline to write exactly what she is inspired to write, with no embellishments. She believes what sets her work apart is that she writes by inspiration and does not have to “drum up” thoughts. As a seeker of truth, she says she only seeks after that which is true. Her personal philosophy is that if a person practices what they want to be or become, what they do not want to be will cease. Through Kaleeda, she extends this calling into an ecommerce setting, offering specialty greeting cards and spiritually focused books for readers who desire growth, encouragement, and a deeper walk with God.
Katie L. Dargan describes a significant turning point in her growth as learning that “that which is above is greater than that which is below,” and she identifies an important life lesson as stepping out of the crowd into her own space in life. She says she balances writing with other parts of life by keeping everything in its proper place. For relaxation, she values quietness. She also shares that many people may not know she would rather suffer wrong done to her than do wrong to others. She stays motivated and overcomes obstacles by trusting in the Lord.
As Snippets of the Truth is a series, Katie L. Dargan expects additional volumes to come, though she does not know how soon.
