New capabilities govern AI usage, make Apple management more programmable, and automate routine work to deliver autonomous endpoint management

Jamf, the standard in managing and securing Apple at work, today unveiled a slate of new platform innovations at its 17th annual Jamf Nation User Conference (JNUC) in Kansas City. Joined on stage by Apple, Anthropic and AWS, Jamf showcased new ways to gain deeper visibility into the AI tools running across corporate Mac fleets, build and manage Apple environments through APIs, automate app deployment and updates, and identify and resolve device health issues.

Apple’s presence in the enterprise continues to grow, fueled by the performance of Apple silicon and employee demand for Mac, while AI tools are rapidly reshaping how those devices are used at work. For nearly 25 years, Jamf has built the infrastructure to manage and secure Apple at scale, today supporting more than 35 million devices across over 78,000 organizations. The innovations introduced at JNUC 2026 build on that foundation for the next generation of Apple management, with a platform that increasingly automates routine work while providing greater visibility and control over the AI tools operating on managed devices.

AI Governance: The AI control plane for Mac

Building on Jamf’s endpoint-centric AI Governance capabilities launched in June, Jamf is expanding how organizations discover, understand and control AI use across their Apple environments, from locally running AI tools to activity inside the browser.

• AI visibility and governance: Available today, AI Governance lets organizations discover AI tools running across managed Macs, set and enforce policies for how those tools can be used, and generate audit-ready reporting for internal governance, boards and regulators.
• Deeper AI activity insights: New capabilities will let admins investigate flagged AI activity down to the device, user and command line, making it easier to understand how AI tools are being used across large Mac fleets. General availability is targeted for Q4 2026.
• AI usage and cost insights: Jamf plans to give organizations visibility into estimated AI usage and spend by user, device, tool, model and provider based on token usage and cost at published price, without capturing prompts or responses. General availability is targeted for Q4 2026.
• AI governance in the browser: Jamf will extend visibility and control to the browser, helping organizations identify the use of personal AI accounts and enforce policies at the point of action, whether in Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox or other browsers. This helps prevent actions such as uploading corporate files to a personal AI account through the browser. General availability is targeted for Q4 2026.
• Enable on-device AI: Jamf is extending its platform so organizations can choose to run AI workloads on Apple hardware at scale, without prompts or company data leaving the device. IT administrators can effortlessly deploy preferred inference engines and local models via Blueprints. General availability is targeted for Q4 2026.
• Mobile AI Governance: Leveraging Jamf’s On-Device Content Filtering and Device Management capabilities, mobile fleet administrators can detect, monitor, and block AI usage in native apps and browsers. General availability targeted for Q4 2026.

A platform teams can build on, not just configure

Jamf is making Apple management more programmable, giving IT teams and developers new ways to manage their environments using the same code, APIs, and infrastructure workflows they use across the rest of their technology stack.

• A more open, programmable Jamf platform: The new Platform API Gateway provides a single place to manage all Platform API access across Jamf, including Blueprints APIs, Compliance Benchmark API, and Device APIs. These new endpoints let customers and partners create, update, and deploy Blueprints, check compliance against defined benchmarks, and manage device data, all programmatically. Generally available today.
• Infrastructure as Code: A new Terraform provider lets teams manage Jamf’s entire Platform through code, unlocking GitOps-style administration that leverages version control, peer review and rollback at scale. Available now.
• Routines, AI-ready: Jamf is bringing Routines onto a Jamf-hosted automation engine, with greater visibility into automations, more than 1,500 integrations, and control over data residency. General availability targeted for Q1 2027.

Delivering autonomous endpoint management

Jamf is bringing automation and intelligence deeper into everyday Apple endpoint management, building towards a model where routine tasks can be handled automatically, and IT is brought in only when human attention is needed.

• Automated app lifecycle management: Through Blueprints, admins can select from a curated catalog of popular Mac apps and have Jamf automatically install and keep them up to date. Employees can also request approved apps through Self Service+. Jamf is also expanding Blueprints to support App Store deployment across Mac and iOS, giving admins one consistent way to manage both catalog apps and App Store apps. General availability targeted for Q4 2026.
• AI-powered self-service diagnostics: A new experience in Self Service+ will let employees ask questions such as “Why are my video calls lagging?” and receive an explanation and recommended fixes they can approve themselves, helping resolve common issues without opening an IT ticket. Public beta is targeted for Q1 2027.
• Device health: New health insights will continuously assess factors including memory, battery and crashes to help IT identify at-risk Macs across the fleet and connect issues directly to remediation. Public beta is targeted for Q1 of 2027.
• Safer software rollouts: Automated Ring Deployments will let organizations test updates with a pilot group, pause deployment when issues are detected and expand to the broader fleet after admin approval. Public beta is targeted for Q1 of 2027.
• Apple-native endpoint data loss prevention: A new data loss prevention capability that discovers sensitive data, tracks data movement as it moves across the OS, and applies policy controls in a way that works on every Mac. General availability targeted for Q4 2026.

Faster access and self-service for every kind of mobile worker

Jamf is bringing more automation and self-service to iPhone and iPad, helping employees get up and running faster on shared, corporate and personally owned devices and automating the routine work IT would otherwise do by hand, from checking device readiness to auditing what's running across the fleet.

• Jamf Tap: For shift-based frontline workforces, tapping an RFID or NFC employee ID badge assigns the right device and signs workers into their apps automatically. Public beta is targeted for Q1 2027.
• Jamf Device Checker: Gives frontline employees a simple way to confirm a device’s readiness and resolve device issues on the spot. Available today.
• App Insights: Jamf is now expanding App Insights with a broader app library and new AI usage insights, showing admins exactly which apps use AI, on-device or cloud-based, including Apple Intelligence and third-party AI, alongside existing risk scoring for outdated versions, data leakage and side-loaded code. General availability targeted for Q4 2026.
• BYOD support for iOS and Android: Keeps personal and work data cleanly separated, letting IT wipe just the work side if someone leaves. Available today.
