Litigators recognized for excellence in construction and insurance law

Five Gravely PC attorneys have been selected for the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, one of the industry’s most well-respected legal guides.

Firm founder Marc Gravely, partners Michael Gavito and Jonathan Lisenby and attorney William Baine have earned repeat honors from Best Lawyers, which uses peer recommendations, professional accomplishments and staff research to select the top attorneys in dozens of practice areas. The 2027 selection is the first for Matt Soliday.

Mr. Gravely, who was singled out for excellence in construction law, construction litigation and insurance law, is a 15-time Best Lawyers honoree. He is the author of the book "Reframing America’s Infrastructure – A Ruins to Renaissance Playbook.”

Mr. Gavito, who celebrates his tenth year on the Best Lawyers list, was recognized for excellence in construction litigation. A former defense attorney in construction and insurance cases, he has earned significant compensation for business and government entities affected by construction defects and has presented continuing legal education seminars on the rights of public and private property holders.

This is the fourth Best Lawyers honor for Mr. Lisenby for his insurance litigation work. The former Army underwater engineer and salvage diver handles cases involving payment delays, bad-faith denials, storm-related and property damage claims, and other issues faced by property owners and policy holders.

Mr. Baine, who for 30 years has represented clients involved in insurance and contract disputes, fraud claims and design and construction disputes, was honored for a third year for construction litigation.

Best Lawyers recognized Mr. Soliday for his insurance litigation practice, which focuses on policy disputes and construction defects. Clients rely on the understanding gained from his prior construction defense work to address the highly technical issues at the center of their cases.
