CUMBERLAND, RI / ACCESS Newswire / October 14, 2026 / Marquis Who's Who is proud to interview and honor Joel Simpson for his distinguished contributions to military leadership, safety and security management, project management and emergency response. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors including position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence within a field are taken into account during the selection process. Mr. Simpson's recognition reflects a career that combines technical expertise, military service and a commitment to protecting people and organizations.

Mr. Simpson currently serves as branch chief for the United States Property and Fiscal Office within the Army National Guard while also working as safety and security manager for Stellix in Foxborough, Massachusetts. His civilian responsibilities include conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses, performing internal safety audits, overseeing employee training and documentation, updating safety policies, supporting emergency response, implementing physical security systems and helping ensure organizational compliance across multiple facilities in New England and New York.
In his Marquis Who's Who interview, Mr. Simpson noted that his civilian career represents an important area of future growth. He is actively expanding his professional knowledge through safety certifications and specialized coursework while seeking opportunities to become involved in broader areas of the business. His long-term objective is to progress into a director or vice president position, where he can apply his leadership experience across an even wider range of organizational functions.
Mr. Simpson's professional foundation began at Massachusetts Maritime Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in facilities and environmental engineering. While completing his studies, he joined the Army National Guard and received his commission as a U.S. Army officer in 2005. Early military assignments included service as a platoon leader with a cavalry unit in Kosovo, providing him with significant leadership experience early in his career.
He states in his interview that, from 2011 to 2012, he served as the company commander of an infantry unit deployed to Afghanistan. During the yearlong deployment, his unit completed its mission without losing any personnel. He considers that outcome a defining professional achievement and a reflection of the responsibility he felt for the soldiers under his command. His military service has been recognized with such honors as the Bronze Star and the Order of Saint Maurice.
Following his Afghanistan deployment, Mr. Simpson served in the G3 operations center for the Massachusetts Army National Guard, where he helped establish combined training exercises for non-combat arms units preparing for future deployments. He later served as operations officer for Task Force Medical during the COVID-19 pandemic. Working as part of a broader joint task force, he helped coordinate Army and Air Force personnel supporting long-term care facilities, soldier homes, community testing operations and vaccination sites throughout Massachusetts.
Mr. Simpson's civilian experience has complemented his military leadership. His career has included roles in construction project management, field engineering, site safety management and professional security. These positions allowed him to combine his engineering background with practical knowledge of workplace safety, risk mitigation and operational management.
A central theme throughout Mr. Simpson's career has been his ability to work across different professional environments. At Stellix, he collaborates with teams ranging from valve repair and maintenance professionals to engineers and software specialists. He views himself as a bridge between those groups, using communication and leadership skills developed through military service to help diverse teams understand priorities and work toward common objectives.
Artificial intelligence is also beginning to influence his field. "That's where we see a lot of potential for using AI in our field," he remarked during his Marquis Who's Who interview. "And we're currently working through testing. Our company has invested quite a bit in using AI for day-to-day business, and we're exploring how to use it for our customers and clients, as well as internally."
Beyond his professional duties, Mr. Simpson serves on the advisory board of the University of New Haven's Transformative Leadership Program. He has also participated in Boston Marathon road marches while carrying full military gear to raise funds for the Military Friend's Foundation. Outside work, he enjoys pickleball and participates in a league connected to his family's pickleball business.
"Joel Simpson exemplifies the caliber of disciplined military leader and safety professional Marquis Who's Who is proud to chronicle," the editorial team stated. "His ability to combine engineering knowledge, operational leadership and a strong commitment to protecting others reflects a career built on responsibility, collaboration and continuous growth." Through its interview and recognition of Mr. Simpson, Marquis Who's Who celebrates a professional whose work continues to strengthen workplace safety, organizational preparedness and military readiness.
