Glenmede, a privately held and independently owned wealth and investment management firm, today announced the appointment of Brigid Peterson as Director of Endowments and Foundations, reporting to President and CEO Peter J. Zuleba III. Brigid Peterson

In this role, Ms. Peterson will oversee the groups responsible for endowment and foundation investments (both public and private), relationship management, and business development. She will also provide strategic advice for select foundations, endowments, and other nonprofit organizations.

Ms. Peterson has extensive experience advising investment committees, boards of directors, and senior leadership teams across a broad range of institutional clients. She has spent her career understanding what mission-driven institutions need from a partner and delivering it with consistency. She has experience building integrated platforms to provide investment expertise with strategic client advisory and operational discipline.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Peterson spent 16 years at Brown Advisory, most recently as Head of the Endowments and Foundations practice. In that role, she built a nationally recognized institutional platform, working with organizations to cultivate a durable business anchored in client relationships, investment capabilities, and operating infrastructure. Prior to joining Brown Advisory, Ms. Peterson practiced law, working with tax-exempt organizations and philanthropically minded individuals.

Ms. Peterson received her Bachelor of Arts in sociology-based human relations from Connecticut College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. She is actively involved in her community, serving in various leadership roles, including on the Board of Trustees of the Baltimore Community Foundation, the Foundation Board of Trustees of the Kennedy Krieger Institute, and on the Board of Visitors, University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
