Alarm.com announces the release of the Alarm.com 781B Battery Video Doorbell (ADC‑VDB781B).

The 781B combines a rechargeable battery, Wi-Fi connectivity, and intelligent video capabilities in a doorbell designed for locations without existing doorbell wiring. Customers can install the 781B at a front door, side door, back door, detached garage, gate, shed, or other entryway where running new wiring may be impractical. As part of the Alarm.com platform, the doorbell works alongside the broader connected property system, unlocking a range of intelligent features that go beyond basic video coverage.

Intelligent Awareness at More Entryways

A square 1:1 view captures visitors from head to toe, while Advanced Video Analytics can identify people, animals, vehicles, and packages to help deliver more relevant alerts.

As the first Alarm.com battery video doorbell to offer animal and vehicle detection, the 781B helps customers distinguish different types of activity around their property. Familiar Face Analytics can recognize up to five familiar people and support customized notifications, while Package Alerts help customers stay aware of deliveries and removals of packages.

When a response is needed, customers can interact with visitors remotely through crisp two-way audio and Call Screen Actions, allowing them to unlock doors, turn on lights, and more through the Alarm.com platform without leaving the doorbell screen. For unwanted visitors, Perimeter Guard® combines attention-grabbing lights and audio alerts with the ability to trigger connected lights throughout the property. AI Deterrence can also deliver AI-generated verbal warnings when a person is detected at the door.

Flexible Protection Without Doorbell Wiring

The 781B is designed to make video protection possible in more locations without requiring an existing doorbell power source. Its battery-powered, Wi-Fi-connected design allows customers to install the doorbell where traditional wired models may not be an option without requiring connection to a hub or base station.

Specially designed Energy Saver Video Analytics help conserve battery power during periods of inactivity. When it's time to recharge, the removable battery can be swapped out, or customers can use optional wiring for continuous trickle charging.

The removable universal rechargeable battery is also compatible with the Alarm.com Volt Series™ V731B Battery Camera, giving customers a common battery solution across compatible devices and a simpler way to expand battery-powered video throughout a property.

Designed for Everyday Security

From monitoring a side entrance to keeping an eye on packages delivered near a garage, the 781B extends the role of the video doorbell beyond the front door. Customers can see activity, communicate with visitors, and respond to unexpected activity from the Alarm.com platform, wherever the doorbell is installed.

The 781B also supports Bluetooth® Enrollment, designed to make device setup faster and easier for service providers.
