Eastwood Ranch Foundation Announces 2026 Mobile Spay and Neuter Program to Reduce Shelter Overcrowding in Southern California
AGOURA HILLS, CA / ACCESS Newswire / March 24, 2026 / Eastwood Ranch Foundation (ERF), the nonprofit animal welfare and rescue organization founded by Alison Eastwood, today announced its new Mobile Spay & Neuter Program, which will bring critical spay and neuter services directly into underserved communities beginning in early 2026.
Since 2012, Eastwood Ranch Foundation Animal Rescue and Adoption Center has rescued thousands of cats and dogs from high-kill and high-risk shelters, providing medical care, rehabilitation, and placement into loving homes. ERF operates a private, purpose-built rescue and adoption center in Agoura Hills designed to support healing and successful placements through enriched environments.
"With shelters across California facing unprecedented overcrowding, expanding access to low-cost
mobile spay and neuter services is one of the most effective ways to prevent needless suffering and
save lives. We see the consequences of overcrowding every day, and this program allows us to
intervene before animals ever enter the shelter system."
- Alison Eastwood, Founder, Eastwood Ranch Foundation
To maximize impact, ERF will partner with Catsnippers Los Angeles, a respected organization specializing in high-volume spay and neuter services, to deliver free and low-cost surgeries through mobile clinics across Southern California.
"I have long admired the lifesaving rescue and rehabilitation work Eastwood Ranch Foundation
does for cats and dogs in need. Expanding into mobile spay and neuter services strengthens that
mission by helping prevent suffering before pets ever enter the shelter system."
- Kim Basinger
"Spaying and neutering is one of the most meaningful ways pet owners can help prevent animal
suffering. As owners of five dogs, four of them rescues from unplanned litters, we know how easily
loving animals can end up without stable homes."
- Matt and Luciana Damon
ERF's work is supported by long-standing animal advocates, including Kim Basinger, Charlize Theron, Matt and Luciana Damon, and others committed to protecting vulnerable cats and dogs.
