CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Oct. 12, 2026 - PRLog -- Zoey Coleman, a 17-year-old from Charles Town, has been named Miss West Virginia Teen Volunteer 2027, becoming the first Afro-Latina to hold the title. Appointed to the title in July 2026, Coleman will represent West Virginia at The Miss Teen Volunteer America Pageant in Jackson, Tennessee, March 3–6, 2027.
Coleman's platform, Fuel Your Future Teens, grew out of her own experience with an eating disorder, which she turned into a mission to help other young people build healthy habits and confidence through movement, nutrition education and self-care. It puts the S.E.R.V.E. values of Scholarship, Education, Responsibility, Volunteerism and Empowerment into action through programs like Move Kits and the West Virginia Wellness Tour, which bring wellness resources to schools and youth organizations.
"I started Fuel Your Future Teens because I know what it feels like to struggle with how you see yourself. I turned that into purpose, and I want every young person to know their voice, their ideas and their service matter," said Coleman.
