XFUNDS, a leading provider of actively managed ETFs, today announced the launch of the XFUNDS Value Income ETF (VTVX), an actively managed fund that combines exposure to U.S. value stocks with options strategies designed to generate additional income.
VTVX seeks capital appreciation by investing in companies that its portfolio management team believes are trading at attractive valuations. Alongside its equity investments, the fund employs options strategies seeking to generate premiums that may support cash distributions, offering investors the potential to benefit from both stock price appreciation and options-based income.
“As investors become increasingly selective about valuations, we see meaningful opportunities in established companies trading at attractive prices,” said David Nicholas, CEO of XFUNDS. “VTVX combines our disciplined approach to value investing with an options strategy designed to generate additional income. We believe this provides investors with an opportunity to benefit from both long-term capital appreciation and a consistent focus on income generation, without relying solely on rising equity markets.”
To pursue its income objective, VTVX primarily utilizes call and put spreads on individual securities or ETFs, with the flexibility to employ short calls and cash-secured puts based on market conditions. The fund may also hold U.S. Treasury bills and other cash equivalents to provide liquidity or serve as collateral for options positions.
Under normal market conditions, VTVX will invest at least 80% of its assets, plus borrowings for investment purposes, in value-oriented equity securities, ETFs tracking U.S. value indices and options on those securities. The portfolio will primarily focus on large-cap U.S. companies, with the flexibility to invest in select mid- and small-cap stocks.
VTVX expands XFUNDS' lineup of actively managed ETFs combining equity investment strategies with options-based income opportunities. Learn more at https://nicholasx.com.

Investing involves risk. Principal loss is possible.
Derivatives Risk. Derivatives are financial instruments that derive value from the underlying reference asset or assets, such as stocks, bonds, or funds (including ETFs), interest rates or indexes. The Fund’s investments in derivatives may pose risks in addition to, and greater than, those associated with directly investing in securities or other ordinary investments, including risk related to the market, imperfect correlation with underlying investments or the Fund’s other portfolio holdings, higher price volatility, lack of availability, counterparty risk, liquidity, valuation and legal restrictions.
NAV Erosion Risk Due to Distributions. When the Fund makes a distribution, the Fund’s NAV will typically drop by the amount of the distribution on the related ex-dividend date.
High Portfolio Turnover Risk. The Fund may actively and frequently trade all or a significant portion of the Fund’s holdings. A high portfolio turnover rate increases transaction costs, which may increase the Fund’s expenses.
New Fund Risk. The Fund is a recently organized management investment company with limited operating history. As a result, prospective investors have a limited track record or history on which to base their investment decisions.
