The SBB Research Group Foundation Sponsors Women United of Lake County

Women United of Lake County collaborated in a volunteer initiative alongside the SBB Research Group Foundation, which partners with local nonprofits through its Champion A Charity Program.

This volunteer project, led by Sonia Munoz, created Halloween snack packs for children in need, specifically those residing at emergency shelters operated by A Safe Place, a partner agency of Women United.

This project brought warmth and happiness to children facing difficult circumstances. The snack packs were distributed during a Halloween celebration organized at A Safe Place’s facilities, offering a moment of joy amidst challenging times.

“This volunteer project is a beautiful example of how individuals and organizations can come together to make a meaningful impact on children facing adversity. It serves as a reminder that a small act of kindness can go a long way in brightening someone's day and fostering a stronger, more compassionate community,” said Munoz.

The Halloween snack packs served as symbols of hope and care for children who had to leave their homes due to domestic abuse. They provided comfort and joy, demonstrating the power of community collaboration.

The funds allocated for the project, along with remaining contributions, will be used for future projects designed to prepare children for kindergarten. Additionally, the funds will support community partners in providing children with the tools and resources they need to succeed in school, work, and life.
