Americas Cardroom Pro is eliminated from $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em World Championship while two fellow representatives proceed.
-- Americas Cardroom will have two representatives competing on Day 5 of the WSOP Main Event after Alex Foxen and Martin Zamani advanced through Day 4 of the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em World Championship.
Their progress came as Americas Cardroom Pro and 2003 Main Event champion Chris Moneymaker was eliminated on the bubble. He was one of three players knocked out simultaneously and was officially listed in 1,382nd place with a $10,000 payout.
Foxen will return with 1,695,000 chips, equivalent to approximately 85 big blinds when action resumes at 10,000/20,000. Zamani advanced with 545,000 chips, giving him approximately 27 big blinds entering the next stage of the poker tournament. The deep WSOP Main Event run adds to a standout series for Foxen. The Americas Cardroom Pro secured his fourth career bracelet in Event #44, the $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em.
Foxen defeated a field of 466 entries and collected $594,246 in listed prize money. He also placed sixth in the $100,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em for $522,347 and fourth in the $25,000 Heads-Up Championship for $300,000.
Zamani has built his own strong record during the WSOP. The Americas Cardroom Ambassador has recorded three fourth-place finishes across major events. He earned $445,080 in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and $245,467 in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship. Zamani also finished fourth in the Super Turbo Bounty event won by Foxen, adding $191,357. His three final-table results generated combined payouts of $881,904.
The Americas Cardroom roster has recorded further deep runs through Chance Kornuth, Chris Hunichen and Chris Moorman. Kornuth finished sixth in the $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em 6-Handed for $218,091. Hunichen placed 10th in the $100,000 High Roller for $211,842, while Moorman took seventh in the $3,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold’em for $101,900. With Foxen and Zamani advancing, Americas Cardroom remains represented in the WSOP Main Event as the field moves into Day 5.
