Téo Calvet heads into the third round of the French Truck Racing Championship as series leader, and this time, he races at home.

-- The Buggyra Academy France driver heads to Nogaro this weekend looking to extend his advantage at the top of the standings in front of his home crowd, under what are forecast to be extreme conditions.

The 26-year-old Frenchman has made an exceptional start to the season. Following his opening victory in Dijon, the Buggyra Academy France driver claimed two wins and a second-place finish at Paul Ricard during the second round at Le Castellet. A front-wheel puncture in the final race was the only setback of his campaign so far, and even then, he left Le Castellet with the championship lead intact. After two rounds, Calvet holds 254 points, 14 ahead of Thomas Robineau in second. Third-placed Lionel Montagne has 209 points.

Nogaro holds a special place on Calvet's calendar, and the prospect of a home victory is a clear motivator heading into the weekend. "This weekend, I have my home race in Nogaro. I really can't wait. After three years without an overall victory across an entire race weekend, I hope this will be my year at home. I'm really confident. We're doing well in the championship," said Calvet ahead of round three.

Conditions at Nogaro are expected to add another layer of complexity to the weekend, with temperatures forecast to approach 40 degrees, both on and off the track. "It's going to be really hot, nearly 40 degrees both on and off the track. We'll just have to get through it. I hope we don't have any technical problems. We'll drive safely, but fast. I hope to take victory at my home Grand Prix. That's my goal," Calvet concluded.
