New identity reflects the firm’s 25+ year history investing in the lower middle market services economy

Vesterra Capital Partners (“Vesterra,” formerly Comvest Private Equity) today announced its new brand and identity, marking the firm’s next chapter and reinforcing its focus on the lower middle market.

The Vesterra name reflects the firm’s evolution, its continued emphasis on the services economy, and its long-standing approach to partnering with founders, family owners, and management teams to build durable companies. While the brand is new, the firm’s strategy remains unchanged: control investments in North American companies with strong foundations, clear growth opportunities, and leadership teams seeking an experienced partner.

“We partner with businesses that support essential functions across the economy and work closely with management teams to help them scale in a thoughtful, disciplined way,” said Maneesh Chawla, Managing Partner of Vesterra. “Vesterra reflects how we have always approached investing — bringing deep sector experience, practical guidance, and a side-by-side partnership with the teams we support.”

Vesterra invests in lower middle market companies across business and infrastructure, healthcare, and consumer sectors. The firm generally targets businesses generating more than $7 million of EBITDA that are positioned for their next phase of growth.

A core differentiator of Vesterra’s model is Vesterra GrowthOps, the firm’s integrated team of specialists focused on growth and execution. Working closely with the investment team and portfolio company leadership, Vesterra GrowthOps helps translate strategy into action — providing hands-on expertise and dedicated resources to support execution and help companies scale while preserving the qualities that made each business successful.

Since 2000, Vesterra has invested approximately $2.5 billion across more than 110 investments. This experience has given the firm deep pattern recognition across its core sectors and a practical understanding of how to support companies through different stages of growth.

“These are often businesses with deep roots, strong cultures, and established legacies,” said Mr. Chawla. “Partnership starts with respect for what has already been built. We look to preserve the qualities that make each business distinctive while bringing added resources, focus, and experience to support the next stage of growth and long-term value creation.”
