Responds to resident feedback with multi-year plan to upgrade nearly 1,000 military homes

Corvias, together with its Army partners, today announced it is investing over $11 million in a resilient flooring program, replacing existing carpet with durable, hard surface flooring in nearly 1,000 military family homes. The six-year modernization effort at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Fort Rucker, Fort Sill, Fort Meade, Fort Riley, and Fort Bragg is designed to extend property longevity, reduce maintenance costs, and provide improved housing to Soldiers and their families.

New resilient flooring installed in a Junior Non-Commissioned Officer home at Fort Meade enhances durability, comfort, and long-term performance supporting quality of life for Soldiers and their families.

Resilient flooring provides improved aesthetics, increased comfort, and sustainability. The initiative directly responds to one of the top areas for improvement requested by residents in annual surveys across Corvias communities.

The work is being executed in parallel with prior flooring upgrades underway through Corvias’ $210 million Homestead project. In addition to flooring, that project is improving over 2,000 homes through medium and major renovations. Both initiatives utilize the same resilient flooring product, reflecting Corvias’ long-term intent to standardize flooring throughout its portfolio.

The new flooring reduces hiding places for potential allergens while supporting easier and more effective cleaning. The program aligns with and complements Corvias’ expanding Wellness at Home program, which delivers enhanced indoor environments for military families through science-backed technologies.

Army leaders approved the expansion and rapid rollout of the Corvias Wellness at Home initiative at Fort Bragg, Fort Meade, and Fort Riley to over 4,500 residences last year, delivering further in-home upgrades including water filtration, air purification, and excess humidity controls. Those efforts have led to hundreds of Corvias homes achieving WELL for Residence certification, a first for military housing.
