PAINWeek 2026 Unveils Conference Program, Brings Global Leaders Together to Advance Pain Management Care

PAINWeek, the largest U.S. pain management conference for frontline practitioners, today unveils the Conference Program for its 20th anniversary event. The milestone event marks two decades of empowering healthcare professionals with cutting-edge education, innovative research, and practical tools to improve patient care in the field of pain management. The theme of the event, “Dimensions of Care: Weaving the Threads of Pain Management,” emphasizes the integration of physical, emotional, and holistic therapies through a multidisciplinary approach. It highlights the power of collaboration among healthcare professionals to create comprehensive, patient-centered strategies that address the diverse and interconnected dimensions of pain relief.

Targeted to pain management professionals — including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, physical therapists, chiropractors, anesthesiologists, mental health professionals, and other allied healthcare professionals, PAINWeek offers attendees the opportunity to earn CME/CE credits through cutting-edge education, with sessions covering essential topics such as pharmacological treatments, interventional techniques, behavioral therapies, and advancements in pain science. The conference also serves as a unique platform for networking with peers, thought leaders, and industry experts, fostering collaboration and innovation. Attendees will gain valuable insights into groundbreaking research and clinical approaches, equipping them to deliver improved patient care and outcomes.

The conference program features 50 educational sessions, including two keynotes, audience-specific breakouts, and Ask the Panels — plus one pre-conference session and five hands-on workshops led by 50 industry experts, including 25 brand-new speakers. A majority of the sessions will feature two to four co-presenters from diverse backgrounds and fields, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach.

The conference program consists of six all-new tracks:

  • Emerging Paradigms and Future Directions in Pain Management
  • Interventional and Technological Innovations in Pain Management
  • Multidisciplinary and Holistic Care Approaches
  • Pharmacological and Opioid Management
  • Regulatory, Legal, and Practice Optimization

The opening keynote will be delivered by Michael Oshinsky, PhD, Director, NIH Helping to End Addiction Long Term (HEAL) Pain Research, and Chair, NINDS Office of Preclinical Pain Research. Oshinsky will present on the latest advancements in pain medicine research, exploring emerging trends, challenges, and innovative strategies shaping the future of patient care. Attendees will gain insights into how these developments are transforming clinical practices and driving progress in pain management.

The closing keynote will be delivered by Elvis Francois, MD, the Singing Surgeon; Spine Surgery Fellow at Harvard Beth Israel.

The pre-conference session, “The Collaborative Model: Understanding & Operationalizing the Biopsychosocial Model in Chronic Pain,” will be presented by Christine Sotmary, MS, L.Ac., CPC and Jennifer Trepeck, BBA. This transformative workshop equips healthcare professionals with essential tools to revolutionize pain care. Key elements of the workshop include a debate on pain care’s role in the opioid crisis, collaborative exploration of cutting-edge research from the HHS Task Force and VA Whole Health model, and interactive workshops to develop personalized treatment plans using integrative modalities. Attendees will gain actionable tools, fresh insights, and hands-on techniques to integrate innovative physiological, psychological, and social methods into their practice. Plus, attendees will receive 4.0 CME/CE credits and a training certificate in Collaborative Pain Care.

Additionally, new features of PAINWeek include hands-on interactive workshops and two-hour specialty group breakouts.
