The deal follows a string of key acquisitions Foster & Foster has made in recent years including Beyer Barber in Pennsylvania, Rodwan Consulting in Michigan, Key Benefit Concepts in Wisconsin, as well as Bartel Associates and Demsey Filliger & Associates, both of which are based in California. The UAS professionals will continue to operate from their long-standing Carmel, Indiana office.
“I am very excited about what this acquisition means for our clients and for our consulting teams,” said Brad Heinrichs, Chief Executive Officer of Foster & Foster, a national leader in actuarial and benefit consulting services. Broadening service offerings, expanding our depth of resources, increasing professional development for our employees, and providing a platform for multi-employer plans is a privilege we take very seriously. We are now a true powerhouse in the Taft-Hartley space-built to run for decades to come. Foster & Foster is thrilled to collaborate with our new colleagues, to finally have an office in the great state of Indiana, and to provide additional tools and resources to our growing client base – now numbering 3,000 Taft-Hartley and governmental entities across the country.”
Hans Kraabel, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of UAS said, “Foster & Foster brings great depth of experience and unmatched talent to help us better serve the evolving needs of our clients, and we are thrilled to join their dedicated team of actuaries and consultants. We are confident that our clients will see our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional work for the folks we have diligently served for decades. I have full confidence that our clients will enjoy excellent service and access to additional resources, while our employees continue to grow under Foster & Foster’s leadership.”
Since 1979, Foster & Foster’s teams of actuaries and benefit consulting experts have been trusted advisors to a wide range of Taft-Hartley and public sector organizations. The firm has prided itself on providing strategic guidance to help its clients forecast and navigate a myriad of challenges, including the excessive costs of health care, demographic changes and economic downturns impacting pension funding and benefit offerings, as well as the harmful effects of pension reform. The firm works in partnership with its clients to mitigate the financial strains, caused by cost cutting measures, on millions of working men and women and the communities they serve.
UAS is one of the few actuarial consulting firms focused exclusively on servicing the Taft-Hartley community, working every day for the last 75 years to help address the issues faced by multi-employer trustees and fund professionals. UAS also offers robust research and cybersecurity offerings, which are of increasing importance in today’s world. With over 200 clients across 30+ states, this acquisition will enable Foster & Foster to further expand its Taft-Hartley pension and health practice groups nationwide.
