LifeCenter Northwest's 2025 Record-breaking Performance

In 2025, LifeCenter Northwest:

  • Supported 446 organ donor heroes in giving the gift of life.
  • Coordinated 1,318 organ transplants to centers across the country, nearly 200 more than the year before.
  • Reached historic milestone by saving the lives of 1,200 patients waiting for a transplant – an increase of 100% over the past decade.

“The generosity of organ donors in this community continues to inspire our team to save more lives,” said Santokh Gill, CEO of LifeCenter Northwest. “We’re grateful for donors’ families, and for all the healthcare professionals, who partner with us around the clock to save lives through organ donation. Collaboration and compassion allow us to turn moments of loss into opportunities for hope and healing for patients desperately waiting for transplants.”

Since 1997, LifeCenter has been responsible for organ donation in the nation’s largest geographical service area – covering more than 808,000 square miles. More than 10.4 million residents live in the area where LifeCenter manages the safe recovery and transportation of deceased donor organs and tissues to patients awaiting lifesaving and healing transplants.

Beyond clinical coordination and public education to increase donor registration, LifeCenter supports the families of organ donors during the difficult days of the donation process and long after. The organization’s Donor Family Aftercare program offers families long-term grief support, including personal calls and letters between donor families and recipients.

Right now, more than 100,000 Americans remain on the organ transplant waiting list, including over 3,000 residents in the Pacific Northwest. LifeCenter encourages everyone to register as an organ, eye, and tissue donor at lcnw.org.
