How Stitch Fix Vision Works

How Stitch Fix Vision Works

"When Stitch Fix launched nearly 15 years ago, we disrupted the retail market, and today we are rewriting the retail playbook once again with our latest suite of innovations, including Stitch Fix Vision," said Matt Baer, CEO, Stitch Fix. "We have billions of data points on our clients’ fit and style preferences, and we are using these insights, as well as the latest in GenAI technology, our assortment of leading brands and the expertise of our Stylists, to deliver ultra-personalization at scale and bring to life new ways for clients to discover the styles they will love."

How Stitch Fix Vision Works

With Vision, clients will receive personalized images of “themselves” styled in the latest looks and trends. Leveraging Stitch Fix’s proprietary algorithms and deep client data, combined with the expertise of our Stylists, Vision curates complete outfits tailored to each client’s unique preferences. In addition to clients seeing their likeness in a variety of styles, they will see themselves in a wide range of locations — from a busy city street to a beach vacation — to help them visualize how different outfits will look in different environments. Vision images are shoppable, enabling clients to purchase an item directly or request that it be put in their next Fix. Images can be easily saved or shared on social media with friends and followers.

To access Vision, clients simply upload a selfie and full-length photo through the Stitch Fix app (available on the Apple App Store and Google Play). From there, they will receive their first set of images, after which they will be sent a fresh drop on a weekly basis. Images will be available in the client’s personal Vision gallery to provide them with a library of outfit inspiration.

“We believe shopping for clothes should be easy and fun, and that everyone should feel confident in what they wear,” added Tony Bacos, Chief Product and Technology Officer, Stitch Fix. “Vision delivers on both, providing first-of-its-kind personal style visualization and inspiration. It is an entirely new approach to style discovery, unlike any of the existing ‘virtual try on’ experiences that require shoppers to do all the work.”

New Experiences Deliver Unmatched Personalization and Convenience

Vision joins a broader suite of new experiences Stitch Fix is now rolling out to clients, including:

  • A New Way for Clients and Stylists to Connect – Stylist Connect, which is now available in the Stitch Fix iOS app to all clients, is a two-way communication platform that enables deeper connections between clients and Stylists. Through Stylist Connect, clients can chat directly with Stylists whenever they need assistance on any style needs, whether to ask a question about fit, find an outfit for an upcoming event or get tips on trying the latest trends. Meanwhile, Stylists can proactively engage clients when relevant new styles come in or if they have recommendations for a seasonal refresh. Stylists are also able to share full outfit recommendations and begin building carts or curating future Fixes for clients.
  • Personal Styling for the Whole Family – Stitch Fix recently introduced Family Accounts, which enable clients to benefit from the personalization and convenience Stitch Fix offers when shopping for anyone in their family, all from one account. The new feature was launched in direct response to client requests to more seamlessly access Stitch Fix’s personal styling services for their entire household and has the potential to save families hundreds of hours a year that they would have otherwise spent shopping.
  • New Holiday Themes and Client-Right Assortment – Stitch Fix is launching a series of new Themed Fixes for the holiday season, including Après-Ski, Holiday Party and Vacation Staples. The company is also offering new brands ranging from Favorite Daughter and Alex Mill for women to Pendleton and Madewell for men, as well as introducing accessories from Kate Spade and footwear from Frye, among others.
