Snowden Lane Partners Adds Alex Bryer to Firm Leadership, Expands Business Development Capabilities

Senior Partner and Managing Director, Alex Bryer, Assumes New National Recruiting Position

Snowden Lane Partners, an independent, advisor-owned, wealth advisory firm dedicated to providing client-focused advice in a values-driven culture, today announced it has named Alex Bryer to the firm’s leadership team, where he will assume a key role in business development.

While Bryer will retain his position as a Senior Partner and Managing Director leading the firm’s Bethesda, MD office and continue serving clients, he will also work with Snowden Lane leadership in a national recruiting role, collaborating with Snowden Lane advisors internally and coordinating with external recruiters to identify and recruit high-caliber financial advisory teams to the firm.

Bryer's new appointment comes on the heels of a successful recruiting year for Snowden Lane, as the firm has added 13 financial advisors since September 2023, representing $1.8 billion in new client assets. The firm has also recorded 20% year-on-year revenue growth and added offices in Boca Raton, FL, Golden, CO, and Philadelphia, PA.

In mid-November, Snowden Lane also appointed Senior Partner and Managing Director, Armando Ureña, to the firm’s Operating Committee, a role that will allow him to represent existing advisors and enhance firm leadership across key business lines.

Bryer joined Snowden Lane Partners in 2015 and has since grown a highly successful practice, including six advisors currently overseeing more than $1 billion in client assets. Prior to joining Snowden Lane, Bryer worked for 21 years at Merrill Lynch, where he was a Senior Resident Director and oversaw multiple offices in the Washington, D.C. area. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland.
