Medical informatics community values insights around proactive patient surveillance and enhanced COVID-19 tools

PeraHealth Co-founder and Chief Science Officer, Michael Rothman, PhD, Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) will be speaking and presenting at this year’s live Annual Symposium in San Diego. Dr. Rothman’s oral presentation titled, “Beyond Absolute Acuity: Changes in Relative Acuity Direct Proactive Rapid Response Teams toward Meaningful Interventions” will take place on Monday, November 1^st, from 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM PDT, during session S41 (“EHR Insights”), numerically showing that change drives intervention. In scientific Poster Session 2, November 2^nd, from 5:00-6:30PM PDT, Michael will present, “A Mobile App to Stratify Deterioration Risk at Admission for COVID-19 Patients Using the Rothman Index,” describing a joint project with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), a U.S. department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
