LANCASTER, PA / ACCESS Newswire / September 24, 2026 / Field of Screams, the haunted theme park that has operated in Lancaster County since 1993, has been certified as a 2026 Top Haunt by the Haunted Attraction Association (HAA) in the Platinum Iconic category. The HAA certified 74 haunted attractions across 27 states this year, and Field of Screams is among 56 Iconic Haunts, a tier reserved for attractions that have operated for more than 10 years and welcome more than 10,000 guests annually.

The HAA, the official trade association of the haunted attraction industry, awards Top Haunt status each year to the best run haunted attractions in the country based on safety standards and industry best practices. For 2026, the association expanded the program with new Gold and Silver tiers for newer and mid-size attractions, while the original designation was renamed Iconic.

Field of Screams features four haunted attractions: The Legendary Haunted Hayride, Den of Darkness Haunted Mansion, Frightmare Asylum Haunted Hospital, and Nocturnal Wasteland Haunted Woods. Guests can also take on 5-minute escape rooms and axe throwing, and enjoy a beer garden, food, games, live bands, DJs, and sideshows. The park has welcomed more than 1.5 million visitors since opening in 1993.
