Brown, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Euronet Worldwide. “While these results are below our expectations and our historical performance, we continued to see growth in the digital accelerators we introduced during our Investor Day in May. Year-to-date, these accelerators have grown 33%, reflecting the benefit of our continued investment in these strategic initiatives.
Revenue growth
Examining a company’s long-term performance can provide clues about its quality. Any business can have short-term success, but a top-tier one grows for years. Euronet Worldwide’s revenue grew at a decent 8.7% compounded annual growth rate over the last five years. Its growth was slightly above the average financials company and shows its offerings resonate with customers.

Long-term growth matters most, but within financials, a half-decade historical view may miss recent interest rate changes, market returns and industry trends. Euronet Worldwide’s recent performance shows its demand has slowed as its annualized revenue growth of 6.1% over the last two years was below its five-year trend. Decelerating revenue growth in the sector warrants caution, as it could signal changing consumer tastes aided by low switching costs.
This quarter, Euronet Worldwide’s revenue grew by 1.3% year on year to $1.16 billion, falling short of Wall Street’s consensus estimates.
