Following a shift to a more flexible calling platform, Voiply now supports more than 50,000 customers with business and home phone service across the United States and Canada.

Pittsburgh, PA (PRUnderground) July 20th, 2026

Voiply, a national provider of VoIP phone and internet service, has completed a significant overhaul of its calling platform, enabling the company to expand support to more than 50,000 residential and business customers across the United States and Canada. The new infrastructure replaces systems Voiply relied on during its early growth, giving the company more capacity to handle a larger, more active customer base without sacrificing call quality or reliability.

The company’s growth comes as more households and small businesses move away from traditional landline and cable-bundled phone plans. Roughly a third of Voiply’s customers use its small-business phone service, while the remaining two-thirds are residential households. Both segments have grown as more customers seek phone service that avoids the complexity and hidden fees common among traditional carriers. The platform change followed months of work by Voiply’s engineering team, who found that maintaining the company’s original infrastructure was consuming resources that could otherwise go toward automation and customer-facing features.

Company leadership emphasized that reaching that scale without sacrificing the customer experience required a more nimble platform. “Every customer who plugs in a Voiply phone expects it to work the moment they set it up,” said Shea Georgetti, CEO and Co-Founder of Voiply. “Serving more than 50,000 customers means our systems need to deliver that experience at a much bigger scale, and this shift gives our team room to keep building and adding new features for our customers, instead of just keeping the lights on.”

Voiply built the update around the same plug-and-play approach that has shaped its affordable home phone service from the start, with the goal of keeping setup simple for customers even as the technology behind it grows more capable. Moving to a more flexible backend also enabled Voiply to continue building tools, such as automated number porting and spam call defense, while reducing the day-to-day maintenance required to keep the system running. That focus on simplicity carries over whether a customer is setting up a new line for a small business or replacing an aging landline at home.

The goal of the platform change was to maintain a consistent customer experience, even as the system’s call volume continues to climb. “Customers don’t need to know what’s happening behind the scenes,” said Felix Yanko, President and Co-Founder of Voiply. “They just need their phone to work, their voicemail to show up, and their bill to make sense. That’s what the new platform lets us protect as the company keeps growing.” The company plans to continue expanding its automation tools and adding features as its customer base continues to grow.
