Heimdall Equipment's Valkyrie Link mounts to factory anchors, stays installed, and ships with training

NEW CASTLE, Ind. - Oct. 12, 2026 - PRLog -- Heimdall Equipment LLC announced that the Valkyrie Link, a vehicle transport system designed by an active Indiana officer with more than five years on the job, is in service with law enforcement agencies. The system mounts to the factory LATCH anchors already in most patrol vehicles and remains installed after the first fit. It does not require a cage or a body-shop modification.

The Valkyrie Link is made for all uncaged vehicles and for caged vehicles with an unmodified back seat. Front-seat and rear-seat models are available.

Once a person is handcuffed and seated, the handcuff strap hooks onto the chain between the cuffs. The officer pulls the strap through a cam buckle to take up slack and limit how far the hands can move. A torso strap holds the upper body. The Beserker strap limits forward and back movement of the upper body. An ankle hobble is included for the legs when the situation calls for it. Every unit ships with the handcuff strap, the Beserker strap, and the ankle hobble.

Training is a 30- to 45-minute operator class. Officers receive a certificate of completion and sign an acknowledgment that they were trained on the system. The originating department has adopted written policy for the Valkyrie Link. The first paid order was five front-seat units to a local small-town department.

"I built this so officers have a way to keep themselves safer during a transport without the price of the systems already on the market," said the founder of Heimdall Equipment. "A lot of smaller departments cannot put a cage in every car. This gives them an option they can actually afford, and a class short enough to run on their own schedule."

Heimdall Equipment is based in Indiana and schedules demonstrations on the department's time.
