-- ANAHEIM, Calif. — Anaheim White House Italian Steakhouse will celebrate 39 years of hospitality, tradition and family with a special Italian-style anniversary dinner on Sunday, August 16, beginning at 6 p.m.
Space is limited for the elaborate dinner, which is priced at $95 per person or $150 per person with wine pairings (plus tax and gratuity). Reservations may be made by calling 714-772-1381.
Chef and owner Sir Bruno Serato, internationally renowned for his venerable upscale restaurant and humanitarian work, will greet guests and share anecdotes from his colorful life and career.
The evening will begin with an assortment of tray-passed Italian delicacies including Polenta Gorgonzola, creamy polenta finished with imported Gorgonzola Dolce; Prosciutto and Fig, featuring Prosciutto di Parma paired with sweet fresh fig and aged balsamic; Mini Caprese bites made with fresh mozzarella, vine-ripened cherry tomatoes, basil and extra-virgin olive oil; and Bruschetta, grilled artisan bread topped with vine-ripened tomatoes, basil, garlic and premium olive oil.
Guests opting for the wine pairings will be served Andreola Prosecco Dirupo Brut from Valdobbiadene, Veneto, during the reception.
The first course will be Gamberoni Pomodoro, succulent Pacific prawns gently sautéed and served in a vibrant concassé of vine-ripened tomatoes, delicately infused with garlic, white wine, fresh herbs and a touch of Calabrian chili. The course will be paired with Pieropan Soave from Veneto.
The main course will be Scaloppini Marsala, tender veal scaloppini lightly sautéed and finished with earthy local mushrooms in a rich Sicilian Marsala wine sauce, accompanied by creamy saffron mashed potatoes. (A seafood option will be available upon request.) The course will be paired with “La Casetta” Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore from Domini Veneti.
Topping off the dinner will be Torta al Cioccolato, a decadent Italian chocolate cake layered with silky dark chocolate ganache and served with fresh seasonal berries.
Situated in a historic national landmark mansion dating to 1909, Anaheim White House offers an extensive menu of Northern Italian fare, including prime-grade steaks, fresh seafood and a wide selection of pasta dishes.
