The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion welcomed visitors Tuesday and Wednesday at Huntington Place in Detroit.

The activities began Monday with the Taiwan Excellence Executive Forum at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center, where Taiwanese technology leaders and U.S. automotive executives explored opportunities for collaboration in automotive semiconductors, advanced sensing, software-defined vehicles and supply chain strategy.

“Taiwan’s strengths in semiconductors, ICT hardware, sensing and system integration enable our companies to offer reliable technologies and flexible solutions that drive automotive innovation, strengthen supply chains and accelerate product development,” said Minya Lin, Director of the Economic Division at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago.

The forum featured presentations from CUB Elecparts on millimeter-wave radar applications for vehicle safety and monitoring, and Macronix on semiconductor technologies and reducing risks in the silicon supply chain. Delta Electronics and Pegatron Corp. participated in discussions examining how suppliers and automakers can balance cost competitiveness, resilience and technological innovation.

At Huntington Place Tuesday and Wednesday, the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion showcased innovations spanning ADAS, edge AI computing, smart cockpit displays, automotive semiconductors and electric vehicle power electronics. Participating companies included AUO Corporation, Conquer Electronics, CUB Elecparts, Delta Electronics, iBASE, Macronix, oToBrite, Pegatron, Realtek Semiconductor and Whetron Electronics.

During the exhibition, North American OEMs and supply chain partners gained exposure to innovative technologies showcased by Taiwan Excellence companies, deepening their understanding of Taiwan’s automotive technology capabilities.

The Detroit showcase reinforces Taiwan Excellence’s commitment to innovation, competitiveness and long-term collaboration, and demonstrates how Taiwan's technology ecosystem can support U.S. automakers and Tier 1 suppliers through advanced components, intelligent systems and integrated solutions designed for increasingly complex vehicles.

The events provided valuable opportunities to engage with U.S. automotive industry leaders, generating encouraging interest in Taiwan's technological capabilities and potential contributions, and establishing a foundation for continued dialogue and future partnerships.

As Automotive USA 2026 concludes, Taiwan Excellence looks to build on connections established, and expand relationships with American OEMs and suppliers.
