The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into SouthState Bank with respect to their recent data breach. On February 7, 2024, unauthorized access was gained to folders on its network resulting in the compromise of account data. After the problem was detected, the company initiated its incident response and business continuity protocols and began taking measures to disrupt the unauthorized activity. The following information may have been accessed: individuals’ names, financial account numbers and Social Security number.
