SentinelOne® Launches PinnacleOne Strategic Advisory Group

Elite team, led by industry leaders Chris Krebs and Alex Stamos, will provide unparalleled insights and strategies to help customers accelerate their security transformation

As technology has become core to virtually every aspect of modern life, cybercriminals and nation-state spies alike are increasingly preying on the vulnerable and overly complex systems of businesses around the globe. To help its customers overcome this collision of business and geopolitical risk, SentinelOne (NYSE: S), a global leader in AI security, is launching PinnacleOne, a strategic risk analysis and advisory group. Led by renowned experts Chris Krebs and Alex Stamos, founders of KSG, PinnacleOne will focus on helping today’s executives understand the realities of operating in the modern global business landscape through unparalleled intelligence, insight and transformative risk management strategies. The news came during OneCon, SentinelOne’s inaugural customer conference taking place at the Boca Raton Resort.

“Rapid changes in the cyber risk environment, the evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) and the mega-shift to data-centric, cloud-hosted, enterprise-wide security, has brought new uncertainty to the C-Suite. Combined with an explosion in threat actors, businesses are operating in uncharted territory,” said Tomer Weingarten, CEO, SentinelOne. “In launching PinnacleOne, we are providing access to top experts who can help enterprises think bigger and broader than the siloed approaches of today. Our holistic approach to risk management will empower organizations to adapt and move forward with confidence across all products and environments.”

Under the leadership of Krebs and Stamos, PinnacleOne will operate as a strategic advisory group, as well as a think tank for hire, helping customers understand who’s targeting them and what they’re after, what their true digital footprint is, how strong their security posture is, and what they need to do to live up to their security responsibilities. Moreover, PinnacleOne can help executives navigate the ever-evolving regulatory landscape and maintain sound security strategies that enable them to succeed in the modern threat environment.

“PinnacleOne is a direct response to our customers increasingly asking for help in solving big picture security challenges, and expands our ability to assist private sector enterprises and public sector organizations in securing the future,” said Eran Ashkenazi, Chief Customer Officer, SentinelOne. “Our partners will also benefit from tapping into this expertise to complement the services they offer to their most high-profile clients.”

Krebs, who will join SentinelOne as Chief Intelligence and Public Policy Officer and President of PinnacleOne, was the inaugural director of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). In that role, Krebs led the Nation’s civilian cyber defense agency, working alongside businesses and government agencies to protect against an expanding set of cybersecurity threats. Before joining DHS, Krebs led Microsoft’s U.S. cybersecurity policy efforts. Krebs also Co-Chairs the Aspen Institute’s U.S. Cybersecurity Working Group and is a CBS News Contributor.

“Whether we like it or not, technology has changed the world as we know it and it’s probably going to get worse before it gets better. But there is hope,” Krebs said. “PinnacleOne will provide insight and advice executives can rely on to better understand the threats they’re facing, alongside actionable strategies that enhance their resilience and prepare them for the future.”

Stamos, who will serve as Chief Trust Officer for SentinelOne, is the Founder and Director of the Stanford Internet Observatory and has served as the Chief Security Officer of Facebook and Chief Information Security Officer at Yahoo. He has been a member of the Aspen Institute’s Cyber Security Task Force, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Advisory Committee, the Bay Area CSO Council, and the Council on Foreign Relations. He also serves on the advisory board to NATO’s Collective Cybersecurity Center of Excellence in Estonia.

“I have long respected SentinelOne’s vision and industry-leading technology,” Stamos said. “Through PinnacleOne, we will be able to provide independent advisory services informed by SentinelOne’s incredible research and threat intelligence capabilities, and help customers navigate the challenges of securely operating in today’s world. I am looking forward to working with the entire team in building the most trusted name in cybersecurity.”

As part of launching PinnacleOne, SentinelOne has acquired KSG. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
