Ms. Martine began her career in 1979 as a market administrator summer intern at AT&T Long Lines and would work at the company for 37 years. She eventually worked her way up to become the company's president of national business in 2015. During this stage of her employment at AT&T, Ms. Martine served about 95% of the company's business customers in the U.S., was accountable for $25 billion in revenue and had 7,000 individuals working for her.
Founding Oakmont Capital Management
Completing her career at AT&T in 2017, Ms. Martine went on to found Oakmont Lane Capital in Bonita Springs, Florida, the next year. Since entering this role, she has been responsible for conducting industry assessments on various key business decisions and analyzing their impact. From 2020 until 2024, Ms. Martine was the chief operating officer of Tristar Acquisition, a specialty purpose acquisition company
Notable Achievements
For her career impact, Ms. Martine has received several notable awards. She received the Egang Award by Forbes in 1994, the Executive of the Year Gold Award by Stevie Awards in 2016 and a Mentor of the Year Gold Award by Stevie Awards in 2017.
Beyond her career and entrepreneurial ventures, Ms. Martine has also been a member of several boards. From 2013 to 2018, she served on the board of directors at Legal Shield, a portfolio company of the MidOcean Private Equity Firm in New York. From 2022 to 2024, she served as a board member at KVH Industries Inc.
In addition to her board service, Ms. Martine has been active in other industry-related and community-based organizations. She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Economic Club of New York, as well as several boards for her alma mater. Ms. Martine also chairs the Resource and Development Committee for the Friends of the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., which is focused on raising $30 million to restore the memorial in partnership with the National Parks Department.
