Beyond Labour Arbitrage: Sprint Labs Adds Role-Specific AI Training to Offshore Placements and Launches Real-Time Accent Conversion
“The hourly rate is one part of the decision. The bigger question for most of our clients is how quickly someone can contribute inside their team.” -- John Tang, Founder, Sprint Labs
Sprint Labs, a Singapore-headquartered managed offshore staffing company, now offers role-specific AI skills and workflow training to every professional it places, across 72 job roles, at no additional fee. The company has also launched an optional real-time AI accent conversion add-on for live calls, priced at USD $1 per hour per user. The training programme went live on 18 October 2026.

SINGAPORE - October 21, 2026 - Sprint Labs, a managed offshore staffing company, has introduced role-specific AI skills and workflow training for every professional it places. The company connects businesses in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Singapore with professionals from the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and India. The training programme went live on 18 October 2026 and covers all 72 job roles Sprint Labs recruits for. Details for each role are published at sprintlabs.dev/ai-training.

Sprint Labs has also launched an optional real-time AI accent conversion add-on for live phone calls. It is priced at USD $1 per hour per user and billed on the client’s existing monthly invoice.

Businesses hiring offshore increasingly expect new team members to use AI tools in their daily work, but many have neither the time nor a structured way to train them. Sprint Labs designs the training around each role. A bookkeeper works through reconciliation and reporting tasks. A customer support specialist practises ticket triage and drafting replies. A software engineer covers code review and testing workflows.

The training programme works as follows:

  • Each course is self-paced and built for the professional’s specific role.
  • Enrolment begins after the professional has started with the client, and the client decides the timing.
  • Training takes place during the professional’s normal working hours.
  • Each course ends with a practical assessment, which the Sprint Labs operations team reviews and tracks to completion.
  • Practice material is synthetic or de-identified.
  • There is no additional training fee. Third-party AI tool subscriptions and custom automation builds are not included.

“For years, offshore staffing was sold on hourly rates,” said John Tang, Founder of Sprint Labs. “The hourly rate is one part of the decision. The bigger question for most of our clients is how quickly someone can contribute inside their team. Training built around each specific role means the person learns workflows they can put to use straight away.”

The accent conversion add-on processes call audio in real time. It adjusts the speaker’s accent toward the listener’s market while the speaker’s own voice, pace, tone and emphasis carry through. A real team member handles every call. The add-on works with the client’s existing softphone or VoIP platform and needs no number porting or changes to call flows.

Clients can switch it on or off for individual team members at any time. There is no setup fee, platform fee or minimum number of users. Before rolling it out, clients can hear a before-and-after sample recorded with their own team member. Sprint Labs expects it to be used mainly in customer support, outbound sales, appointment setting, collections and assistant roles that handle calls.

“The person on the call is your team member, with their own product knowledge, judgement and personality,” said Tang. “The technology helps the customer on the other end hear them clearly from the first word.”

Sprint Labs operates a managed contractor model. The company sources, vets, places and supports professionals, and the client directs their day-to-day work. Clients receive a single monthly invoice in their chosen billing currency. There is no placement fee, and engagements can be ended with 60 days’ notice.

Both the AI training programme and the accent conversion add-on are available now to businesses hiring through Sprint Labs. More information is available at sprintlabs.dev.
