"The Stranger Between Us" Released From the Visionary Behind "The Lion King"

By: PRLog
"The Stranger Between Us." Benjamin's premiere novella and ninth book. Texan Bosly Granger recurs in meeting with an outsider, the illusive Brandt Tilly, who is nauseating as the hiccups. Newcomer Brandt stumbles upon Bosly's girlfriend Teresa, laying claim to herself and his adversary's business. If the run-ins ever stop, Bosly could collect himself. Instead, he might become the intruder at large.

PROSPECT, Conn. - Oct. 21, 2025 - PRLog -- Benjamin Anderson rendered both the storybook tale and a musical score for The Lion King at an early age.  Disney and Broadway releases for it followed, though Benjamin's credit as forerunner has remained chiefly unrevealed.  He encouraged the late great James Earl Jones to voice Mufasa, once a reclusive movie credit within Star Wars himself.

Critics universally acclaim The Lion King, the world's number one musical.

"One of the great wonders of a film like The Lion King is that it is a joint effort beyond anything in traditional drama or film. Hundreds of animators, writers, actors, musicians join together in an effort like this one, which took four years to produce. It was work well worth doing."
– Tom Long, Santa Cruz Sentinel

The Stranger Between Us follows Bosly Granger, a man stuck between love, rivalry, and his own insecurities. It begins in the small Texas town of Centerdale, where Bosly's relationship with his girlfriend Teresa unravels in the shadow of an arrogant outsider, Brandt Tilly...Through Bosly's eyes, we watch as his world collapses, one piece at a time, until the lines between jealousy, obsession, and desperation blur beyond repair.

This is an oddly captivating story. The writing is sharp ... After a while, I realized it fit Bosly's voice. He is restless, insecure, and often lost in his own head. The dialogue carries a rawness that pulled me into the small-town claustrophobia. Brandt, as a character, irritated me, and I think that was the point...Teresa's choices infuriated me, yet they rang true to the messy reality of people chasing something different, even if it's worse.

Emotionally, this book hit me harder than I expected...There were passages that felt almost poetic in their sadness. The unevenness mirrored the chaos of Bosly's unraveling life. When the inevitable moment came, the violent climax, I felt a pit in my stomach. I knew it was coming, and still it landed heavily.

I would recommend The Stranger Between Us to readers who enjoy psychological character studies more than action-driven plots...if you want to feel the raw edges of jealousy, failure, and heartbreak, this book will stick in your head. – Thomas Anderson, Editor In Chief, Literary Titan
