GR86 Cup podium results and a new Porsche Carrera Cup Asia collaboration broaden the brand’s motorsport presence across Malaysia and the region

-- Winbox Racing is expanding its 2026 motorsport program after a series of strong results at Sepang International Circuit, with the team now active across both the GR86 Cup Malaysia and Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.

The program is led by the #50 Toyota GR86 driven by Malaysian racers Rahul Raj Mayer and Adele Lew, while a separate collaboration with 610 Racing has extended the team’s presence into regional Porsche competition.

Sepang Results Build Early Momentum

During the July 24–26 race weekend at Sepang International Circuit, the #50 GR86 finished first in Class O and second overall in Round 1 Race 2.

Mayer also recorded a fastest lap of 2:35.737 during the weekend, giving the program an early competitive milestone in its 2026 campaign.

The result adds momentum to the motorsport program being developed around Winbox as the brand increases its involvement in Malaysian and regional racing.

From GR86 Cup to Porsche Carrera Cup Asia

In August, Winbox Racing expanded beyond the GR86 Cup through a collaboration with 610 Racing in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.

Competing as Winbox Racing x 610 Racing, the #610 Porsche driven by Cao Qikuan recorded three AM-class victories across three races during the Sepang weekend.

The move gives Winbox Racing exposure across two different racing formats, combining the close one-make competition of the GR86 Cup with a broader regional championship.

Building a Broader Motorsport Program

The 2026 program places emphasis on race performance, driver development, technical preparation and stronger engagement with motorsport audiences.

For Mayer and Lew, the GR86 Cup also provides a platform where closely matched machinery places additional emphasis on racecraft, consistency and setup.

The Porsche collaboration extends that activity into a wider Asian racing environment while adding another competitive layer to the program.

Winbox Racing plans to continue sharing race-weekend updates, driver stories and behind-the-scenes content covering preparation, qualifying and race execution.

The team said its focus for the remainder of the season will be on improving race performance, supporting driver development and building further momentum across its motorsport activities.
