WINNIPEG, MB: Two articling students, Joceline Maynard and Peter Frejeck, have been hired at the law firm Brodsky Amy Gould Kinahan Mahoney.

Articling represents a critical stage in a lawyer's professional development, providing recent graduates with the opportunity to work alongside experienced counsel to develop the practical skills required to serve clients and navigate Canada's legal system.

"Our profession depends on experienced lawyers passing their knowledge and skills to the next generation," said a representative for Brodsky Amy Gould Kinahan Mahoney. "We are proud to provide our new articling students with the opportunity to learn from a team that is committed to criminal defence, client advocacy, and excellence in the courtroom."

Throughout their time with the firm, Joceline and Peter will have the opportunity to work with the firm's lawyers on a wide range of criminal matters, gaining crucial experience in legal research, case preparation, client service, and courtroom advocacy.

The addition of two new articling students reflects the firm's continued growth and its commitment to strengthening the legal profession by helping develop capable, knowledgeable, and client-focused lawyers.

For over 25 years, Brodsky Amy Gould Kinahan Mahoney has served clients in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. The firm was founded by G. Greg Brodsky, Q.C, who litigated more than a thousand homicide cases and impacted how courts consider reasonable doubt. He also brought battered wife syndrome to the Supreme Court of Canada, among other accomplishments, before his passing in 2022.

The firm offers legal defence services across various areas of practice, including assault and violent offences, driving offences, drug trafficking, drug possession, firearm offences, fraud, murder and manslaughter, organized crime, theft and property offences, and youth offences. The firm's mission is to protect the fundamental rights of each of its clients by providing a rigorous, thoroughly researched, and passionate defence for each.
