PARAMUS, NJ: Modern Orthopaedics Of New Jersey has recently welcomed Dr. Kelsey Young, MD, a fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon, to its team. Dr. Young believes that compassion is the foundation of great care and specializes in conservative and surgical treatment of the elbow, wrist, and hand. She joined the Modern Orthopaedics family in late Fall 2025.
Dr. Kelsey Young is a Long Island native who completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University before obtaining her medical doctorate from Weill Cornell Medical College with Honors in Service. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she served as academic chief resident, and then went on to complete fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital, gaining specialized expertise in both surgical and non-surgical management of complex upper limb conditions.
Dr. Young has been honored with the Arnold P. Gold Humanism Fellowship, Marcus M. Reidenberg Award for community service, the DeForest P. Willard Award for outstanding senior resident, and the James Davidson Award for excellence in shoulder and elbow surgery. She is committed to treating every patient with the same respect and attention she would give to her own family and friends.
