Amsterdam & Partners LLP to represent fintech platform Solfy in dispute with National Bank of Uzbekistan

Amsterdam & Partners LLP today announces that it will represent fintech platform Solfy and its principal investor, Maksim Poletaev, in a contractual dispute with the National Bank of Uzbekistan (NBU).

Following the collapse of a business relationship between the two sides, Mr. Poletaev and his associates have been subjected to serious threats by representatives of the NBU.

Founder and Managing Partner of Amsterdam & Partners LLP, Robert Amsterdam, with decades of experience in the region, including Uzbekistan, is being brought into the case as international counsel, joining the local legal team in Tashkent. He is presently engaged in Georgia, Armenia and Ukraine, and has previously managed disputes involving corporate, commercial and criminal law in several other CIS countries, including Russia.
