VB Spine announced the appointment of Thomas E. Oglesby as Chief Financial Officer, effective Sept. 16, 2026.

In his new role, Oglesby will lead VB Spine's finance organization and partner with the executive team on strategy, capital allocation, and continued growth of the company's spine portfolio.

“Thomasʼs deep spine industry knowledge, hands-on operating experience, and proven track record leading finance through periods of significant growth and transformation make him an excellent fit for this role,ˮ said Anthony Viscogliosi, co-CEO of VB Spine, speaking on behalf of his brothers, Marc and John Viscogliosi. “As we continue to expand our technology and biologics portfolio, his experience will be instrumental in helping us scale VB Spine toward category leadership.ˮ

Oglesby brings more than 20 years of medtech finance experience, including senior roles at Zimmer Biomet and Medtronic. He led finance as Vice President and Business Unit CFO for Zimmer Biomet's Dental and Spine division, stepping in as Interim General Manager of the Spine business during a transition period, and leading the finance workstream through the carve-out and spin-off of ZimVie. Earlier in his career, he served as CFO of Human Care Systems, a privately funded healthcare startup, and held finance and program management roles at Medtronic, including supporting the company's Spine & Navigation business and its acquisition of Kyphon.

“I am excited to join VB Spine at such a pivotal moment in the company's growth,ˮ said Oglesby. “VB Spine's combination of scale, entrepreneurial spirit, and direct ownership involvement is exactly the environment I have been looking for, and Iʼm ready to partner with the team to build on the momentum the company has established. What matters most here is helping surgeons take better care of patients, and that is the work I want to be a part of.ˮ

Oglesby holds an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, both from the University of Memphis.
