Driven by a family legacy of military service, Dr. Smith is dedicated to enhancing the safety and readiness of the nation’s critical munitions and defense systems. Her background includes engineering, quality systems, project management, and multi‑site operational leadership.

Dr. Smith holds a Ph.D. in Management of Engineering and Technology, two master’s degrees in Procurement and Engineering Management, and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering Technology.
