The two mom-founded organizations will co-host a bipartisan day on Capitol Hill in D.C. with nonprofit partners Paid Leave for All, 4Kira4Moms, and BirthFund, hand-delivering 1,000 hotline stories to lawmakers to ensure policy reflects the lived realities of American families.
Bobbie for Change, the policy and advocacy arm of the mom-founded and led infant feeding company, are hosting a day on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. with Spread The Jelly, an independent media company dedicated to sharing stories around motherhood. Together, the mom-led organizations will unite parents, advocates, and nonprofits for a day of bipartisan meetings on Capitol Hill dedicated to advancing policies that protect and support American families—specifically, safer births and federal paid family and medical leave.
Alongside nonprofit partners Paid Leave for All Action, 4Kira4Moms, and BirthFund, the lobby day is building on momentum from Bobbie’s viral impact campaign with Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B, “The B is For Bobbie,” which invited parents and caregivers nationwide to share their stories on a dedicated hotline. More than 1,000 parents called in to voice their experiences, challenges, and hopes for a better system. Now, Bobbie’s advocacy arm Bobbie for Change and Spread The Jelly are teaming up to hand-deliver these stories to lawmakers, ensuring legislation is driven by the lived realities of American families. The group will meet with lawmakers in both the House and Senate to underscore one message: American families deserve better and the time for action is now.
Louder together, activist parents joining for the day of meetings include: Jaycina Almond, Anna Malaika Tubbs, Sophia Li, Meena Harris, Dr. Max Goldstein, Hannah Bronfman, Iskra Lawrence, Lelanie Foster and Whitney Port.
“Meaningful change doesn’t happen in silos. Our longstanding partnership with Bobbie for Change shows what’s possible when private companies and nonprofits come together with a shared commitment to safer births and saving mothers’ lives,” said Charles Johnson, Dad and Founder of 4Kira4Moms. “This day is about getting loud, sharing real stories, and turning collective action into real policy progress for families across America.”
It has been nearly 13 years since the Family Act was introduced; that’s over a decade in which the U.S. has failed to pass federal paid family and medical leave. The United States remains the only high-income nation without federal paid leave and holds the highest maternal mortality rate among peer countries. For families across the nation, these are not statistics, they are lived experiences, and since Bobbie’s inception, the company has been advocating for the policies and protections parents deserve. The urgency to act has never been greater.
“Real policy change can’t happen until we’re honest about the systemic hardships mothers in America are facing today,” said Amrit Tietz and Lauren Levinger, moms and co-founders of Spread the Jelly. “And change can’t happen when mothers are shamed into staying quiet about their experiences. We’ve created a space where women can share their stories—good, bad, or sticky—to make clear that what often feels personally unmanageable is actually the result of a broader political system that sets families up for failure."
“Parents should not have to fight for safety, dignity, or time to heal,” said Michele Lampach, Mom and Director of Impact, Bobbie for Change. “We are showing up on The Hill because every parent and caregiver in this country has a unique story and each deserves a system that shows up for them. On the heels of our viral campaign with Cardi B last fall, we’re showing that when we tell parents we are going to fight for them and will deliver their stories to lawmakers, we mean it. Representation matters and we’re proud to stand alongside Spread The Jelly, parent advocates and nonprofit partners with many different lived experiences to demand they’re heard.”

With over 36M global views in the last year, it was founded in response to a familiar refrain so many women share: “I wish I’d known.” Spread the Jelly exists as a counter to a culture that has historically silenced stories around womanhood and reproductive journeys, isolating generations of women in the process.
