Intrepid Fiber Networks Announces Expansion into California

Intrepid Fiber Networks, the nation’s leading wholesale open-access fiber infrastructure provider, today announced a significant milestone in its national expansion with the launch of its network in California. Intrepid is planning on an initial investment in the cities of Vista and San Marcos located in San Diego County with further expansion plans across the state.

The company will first deploy its next-generation high-speed network across the cities of San Marcos and Vista, bringing world-class, symmetrical multi-gigabit broadband options to residents, businesses, and community institutions throughout the region.

“This is an exciting and defining moment for Intrepid,” said Jack Waters, CEO of Intrepid Fiber Networks. “California is one of the most important technological hubs in the world, and launching our network here demonstrates our commitment to meeting the state’s demand for innovation and more resilient fiber connectivity. The communities of San Marcos and Vista are ideal partners in helping us advance our mission to deliver open-access fiber infrastructure across the state and the country.”

Already underway with engineering, permitting and construction, Intrepid expects service to become available early in 2026. Interested residents and businesses can visit intrepidfiber.com to learn more and keep up to date with progress.
