- The agreement reaffirms both parties’ commitment to advancing cooperation in climate action, forest and biodiversity protection, environmental technology, and green-economy initiatives, aligned with Panama’s Nature Pledge to restore 100 thousand hectares of degraded lands and reduce emissions by 11% by 2035.
- This partnership builds on O.N.E Amazon’s ongoing work in the Darién, including its IoF™ pilot at the Filo del Tallo – Canglón Hydrological Reserve, which provides water to more than 40 communities. The initiative demonstrates how verified data and responsible finance can strengthen environmental management and local livelihoods.

Juan Carlos Navarro, Minister of Environment of the Republic of Panama, and Rodrigo Veloso, Founder and CEO of O.N.E Amazon
The signing took place during the Panama Nature Summit 2025, in the high-level session “From Protection to Prosperity: O.N.E Amazon’s Model for Nature Finance.” The agreement reaffirms both parties’ commitment to advancing cooperation in climate action, forest and biodiversity protection, environmental technology, and green-economy initiatives, aligned with Panama’s Nature Pledge to restore 100 thousand hectares of degraded lands and reduce emissions by 11% by 2035.
The collaboration will focus on analyzing and developing projects in four main areas:
- Development of environmental technology, climate monitoring, reforestation, blue carbon, and ecosystem conservation projects.
- Strengthening of technical capacities in environmental management, climate education, and energy transition
- Exchange of information, best practices, and methodologies for forest and biodiversity management.
- Promotion of joint initiatives for international visibility in climate action and sustainability.
Each initiative will be structured under a transparent, science-based framework ensuring traceability, accountability, and full respect for Panama’s sovereignty. Future projects may also explore nature-backed digital instruments as mechanisms to channel private investment into measurable conservation outcomes.
Juan Carlos Navarro, Minister of Environment of Panama, stated: “As part of the partnership, O.N.E Amazon will pilot its proprietary Internet of Forests (IoF™️), an advanced monitoring system powered by satellites, LiDAR, and ground sensors, to provide real-time ecological intelligence that supports environmental governance and transparency.”
“O.N.E Amazon was created to align global capital with the conservation of our planet’s most valuable ecosystems. Together with Panama, we aim to demonstrate how innovation, transparency, and shared purpose can turn conservation into a true economic opportunity, one that benefits both nature and people. O.N.E Amazon is more than a financial instrument, it is a new contract between humanity, capital markets, and nature. When innovation meets purpose, markets become engines of regeneration,” said Rodrigo Veloso, Founder and CEO of O.N.E Amazon.
This partnership builds on O.N.E Amazon’s ongoing work in the Darién, including its IoF™ pilot at the Filo del Tallo – Canglón Hydrological Reserve, which provides water to more than 40 communities. The initiative demonstrates how verified data and responsible finance can strengthen environmental management and local livelihoods.
