Marquis Who’s Who Honors Michael J. Agerbeck for Expertise in Manufacturing

UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / December 15, 2025 / Marquis Who's Who honors Michael J. Agerbeck for his expertise in manufacturing. A technical specialist at H.B. Fuller Co., Mr. Agerbeck has two decades of experience in manufacturing and extensive skills in machinery quality control and safety and repair.

About Mr. Michael J. Agerbeck:

From an Army Airborne Ranger to a food production line improvement specialist, Mr. Agerbeck's journey shows the varied and valuable careers available in the food manufacturing industry, though his path was not without its difficulties.

After the military, Mr. Agerbeck faced personal difficulties, including a long child custody suit, all while pursuing an education and career. He earned an Associate of Applied Science in nanotechnology at Dakota County Technical College in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science in chemistry at Metropolitan State University from 2015 to 2016. He credits his past struggles, even what he regards as dead-end jobs, as equipping him with a collection of valuable skills. His experiences have taught him that success demands hard work and dedication.

In his role as a technical specialist, Mr. Agerbeck travels frequently and spends most of his time at customer sites. His duties include demonstrating products, helping to set up equipment, and, most importantly, training operators to make machines more efficient. He is well known for improving efficiency by 3% to 5% or more. Among his other duties, he acts as the bridge between hands-on experience and technical knowledge. A large part of his work involves reducing waste in food production, a sector he considers important for ensuring people have enough to eat.

A significant part of Mr. Agerbeck's professional outlook is his willingness to teach and cross-train. He challenges the old idea of "tribal knowledge," where people keep their expertise to themselves, and instead promotes knowledge sharing, believing that the mark of true skill is the ability to teach others effectively, even if they are already experts in their field.

Looking Ahead

Looking to the future, Mr. Agerbeck believes there will continue to be a need for precise and efficient production, especially amid global issues such as the COVID-19 pandemic. He believes people should raise awareness of the importance of manufacturing skills and restore lost processes. He insists that manufacturing is a worthwhile career, even if it is often seen as a stepping stone to other careers. He also notes that sustainability should be a growing focus in manufacturing and that it requires a great deal of precision and the ability to adapt to new materials and methods.

Mr. Agerbeck is proud of his work and regrets the naive perception often attached to blue-collar jobs. He stresses that, despite the many technological advancements of the modern age, being thorough and maintaining time management skills remain important. He warns that as older maintenance crews retire, there will be a significant gap unless new generations are ready to understand and work with factory technology, thereby filling the gap. He sees this as an overlooked opportunity for those seeking rewarding careers outside traditional academic paths.

In his free time, Mr. Agerbeck practices and teaches jiu-jitsu, travels and enjoys working out at the gym.
