IRVING, Texas - August 14, 2026 - After 26 years of serving the Irving community, LaserCare Eye Center has announced that it will close its longtime Irving office as the practice prepares for the next chapter of its growth in North Texas. A new LaserCare Eye Center location is planned to open September 1 in Frisco at 4645 Wyndham Lane, Suite 190, Frisco, TX 75033.
Since opening its Irving location 26 years ago, LaserCare Eye Center has had the privilege of caring for thousands of patients from Irving and surrounding communities. The practice expressed its sincere appreciation to the patients, families, local physicians, businesses, and members of the Irving community who have supported LaserCare Eye Center over more than two decades.
“For 26 years, Irving has been an important part of LaserCare Eye Center’s story,” said Sidney Gicheru, M.D. “We are incredibly grateful to our Irving patients for trusting us with their vision and to the entire Irving community for welcoming and supporting our practice. The relationships we have built over the years are something we will always value.”
Although the Irving office is closing, LaserCare Eye Center will continue caring for its Irving-area patients at its Plano, Southlake, and new Frisco locations. The practice is working to make the transition as seamless as possible for existing patients.
The move to Frisco reflects the continued growth of North Texas and will allow LaserCare Eye Center to serve patients in Frisco and surrounding communities from a conveniently located new office.
The Frisco location will offer LaserCare Eye Center’s range of ophthalmic and vision correction services, including LASIK, SMILE, refractive lens exchange (RLE), cataract surgery, refractive cataract surgery, and comprehensive ophthalmic care.
“Closing our Irving office is bittersweet,” Dr. Gicheru said. “We are excited about our future in Frisco, but we could not make this transition without first recognizing the patients and community who have supported us in Irving for the past 26 years. We sincerely thank them and look forward to continuing to care for our Irving patients at our other locations.”
