Decksforlife‚ Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area's best award-winning deck builder and deck contractor are proud to announce its 2026 offerings of products and services․ After being awarded HomeStars Best of the Best for 5 years in a row‚ Decksforlife will now offer a new line of composite deck colors‚ a privacy screen protection system‚ and two state-of-the-art deck framing systems to GTA homeowners․
"Every year we look at what our customers are asking for and what the manufacturers are releasing‚ and this year the lineup is really exciting‚" said a Decksforlife spokesperson․ "We've got new colors from Trex and TimberTech that homeowners are going to love‚ plus a privacy screen product that people have been requesting for years․ And on the framing side‚ we're offering options now that will make these decks last way longer than anything built with pressure-treated wood․"
New Trex Composite Decking Colors for 2026
Toronto's leading deck builder Decksforlife has announced the addition of two new colors to the Trex Improve® composite decking collection - Pebble Beach and Golden Hour․ Released in January 2026‚ both include Trex's SunComfortable™ technology‚ which reflects the sun's infrared rays‚ helping to keep deck boards cooler throughout Toronto's hot summer months․
Pebble Beach is a soft‚ weathered grey‚ which gives it a relaxed‚ coastal feel․ It has a wood grain finish․ Golden Hour is a warm golden beige with coconut brown undertones; it looks like the colors of the late afternoon sun․ It is available in 12-‚ 16-‚ and 20-foot lengths‚ in both grooved and square-edge types․
In addition to the Improve line‚ Decksforlife will install boards from the Trex Transcend Lineage and Trex Select lines of decking․ More recently‚ other color options have been added from these Trex lines such as Hatteras‚ Malted Barley‚ Millstone and Whiskey Barrel․ All Trex decking is made from up to 95% recycled material and comes with a 25- to 50-year warranty depending on the line․
Decksforlife said that "The new Trex colors are perfect for homeowners in neighborhoods like the Beaches‚ Leslieville‚ and High Park who want that natural‚ warm wood look without any of the maintenance․" And the heat-mitigating technology is a real game changer for families with kids running around barefoot in July."
TimberTech Impression Privacy Screen and New Harvest+ Colors
As a certified TimberTech installer, Decksforlife is also excited to bring the new Impression Privacy Screen™ to its customers this season. This is a first-of-its-kind product that combines decorative screening with functional railing in one system. Built from durable, non-combustible aluminum, the Impression Privacy Screen integrates with TimberTech’s existing Impression Rail Express® aluminum railing for a clean, unified look.
The privacy screen has been wind-load tested for durability and is designed with a sleek modern look that works with a range of outdoor styles. For homeowners in Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, and other suburban communities where backyards are close together, this product solves a problem that many families have been dealing with for years: how to enjoy their deck without feeling like they’re sitting in a fishbowl.
Decksforlife is also now offering TimberTech’s award-winning Harvest+ Collection™ from the Advanced PVC Decking line. This collection features two new colors — Toasted Wheat and Timber Gray — that won a Good Housekeeping 2026 Home Reno Award for their realistic wood look and sustainable manufacturing. The Harvest+ boards are made from up to 65% recycled materials and feature Cool Touch™ technology that keeps surfaces up to 30% cooler than standard composite decking.
Additionally, TimberTech released the Advantage Rail™ — a new composite railing with patent-pending SPEEDLoc Technology that uses 25% fewer fasteners than competing products. This means faster installation for our crews and a cleaner finished look with hidden hardware for homeowners. Both products come backed by 25-year limited warranties.
OC Lumber: Rot-Proof, Rust-Proof Composite Deck Framing
One of the biggest changes Decksforlife is making for 2026 is what goes underneath the deck boards. The company is now offering Owens Corning® Lumber (OC™ Lumber) as a premium framing option for customers who want a deck structure that will last as long as the surface material.
OC Lumber is a fiberglass composites alternative to pressure-treated wood and steel that is rot-proof and rust-proof․ It is also resistant to mold‚ mildew‚ insects and termites․ Unlike pressure-treated lumber‚ it will not warp‚ twist‚ split or shrink․ It can be built as you would a wood structure with the same tools‚ hardware and fasteners․ "We’ve been building with pressure-treated wood for years and it does the job, but it has its limits," said Decksforlife. "Toronto’s freeze-thaw cycles are brutal on wood framing. With OC Lumber, the frame is going to hold up just as long as the composite or PVC boards on top of it. That’s a huge deal for homeowners who are investing $20,000 or more in a deck."
OC Lumber is available in standard 2x4 through 2x12 profiles in 12-, 16-, and 20-foot lengths, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty for residential applications.
Outdure QwickBuild® Aluminum Deck Framing System
For homeowners looking for the most advanced deck framing available, Decksforlife is also introducing the Outdure QwickBuild® modular aluminum deck framing system. Originally developed in Australia and now distributed in Canada through Vista Railings, QwickBuild replaces traditional timber framing with engineered aluminum joists and beams that are completely moisture-proof, lightweight, and designed for fast installation.
The QwickBuild system is particularly suited for low-profile decks, rooftop patios, installations over existing concrete or pavers, and projects where ground clearance is limited. The aluminum frame won’t rot, warp, or twist, and it supports composite decking, PVC decking, hardwood, exterior tiles, and even synthetic turf — all on the same framework.
"This is a product that’s been used around the world for commercial and residential projects, and it’s now becoming available here in Canada," said Decksforlife. "For condos and townhomes in downtown Toronto, North York, and Etobicoke where you’re building over a flat roof or a concrete balcony, this system is ideal. It gives you a floating deck that doesn’t penetrate the waterproof membrane underneath."
