When asked about the motivation behind the book, Correia shared, “This is my first book that will take you into my life as a child and share some of my views as an adult. Due to horrific complications after weight loss surgery, I am now disabled, which gave me the motivation to write my first story, ‘My Dark Place.’ After writing my first story, it brought me comfort to share my experience, and with my late mother’s voice encouraging me to write a book, I continued to write one story after another, and this is how Transcending Through Time was born.”
