Senior Housing Properties Trust Announces Annual Meeting Results

Senior Housing Properties Trust (NYSE: SNH) today announced the results of its 2016 Annual Meeting of Shareholders which was held earlier this week as follows.

John L. Harrington was re-elected as an Independent Trustee by a plurality of all shares voted.

Adam D. Portnoy was re-elected as a Managing Trustee by a plurality of all shares voted.

Barry M. Portnoy was re-elected as a Managing Trustee by a plurality of all shares voted.

Jeffrey P. Somers was re-elected as an Independent Trustee by a plurality of all shares voted.

Shareholders failed to approve by the required majority a nonbinding advisory resolution approving the compensation paid to the Company’s named executive officers.

Shareholders ratified the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as SNH’s independent registered public accounting firm.

Senior Housing Properties Trust is a real estate investment trust, or REIT, which owns senior living communities, medical office buildings and wellness centers throughout the United States.
