K12 Inc. Announces Appointment of New Board Member

K12 Inc. (NYSE:LRN), the nation’s leading provider of proprietary curriculum and K-12 online school programs, announced today that Nate Davis has joined the Company’s Board of Directors.

From 2006-2008, Mr. Davis was the President and CEO of XM Satellite Radio, overseeing the company’s billion dollar business in audio entertainment. Previously, he served as President and COO of XO Communications (2000-2003), Executive VP of Nextel Communications (1998-1999), and has held a number of executive level positions at MCI Communications and management positions at AT&T.

Mr. Davis currently serves as a Managing Director at the RANND Advisory Group, consulting many venture capital and telecom firms. He resides in Northern Virginia.

Mr. Davis earned a BSEE in Engineering and Computer Design from Stevens Institute of Technology; a MSEE at the University of Pennsylvania’s Moore School of Technology; and an MBA in Finance and General Management from the Wharton School.

Mr. Davis joins a distinguished group of education and business leaders who serve on the K12 Board of Directors: Andrew H. Tisch (Chairman), Ron Packard, Steven B. Fink, Thomas Wilford, Guillermo Bron, Dr. Mary Futrell, and Jane M. Swift.
