Unisys Corporation (NYSE:UIS) today announced that James M. Geiger has joined the company as vice president and managing partner, Department of Defense, Unisys Federal Systems.
In this role, Geiger will be responsible for growing the company’s business with defense and intelligence related agencies of the United States government.
Geiger joins Unisys after a 27 year career with BearingPoint and its predecessor, KPMG Consulting, where he served in a number of increasingly responsible roles, the last of which was as executive vice president. During his career there, Geiger was credited with a number of accomplishments, among them being responsible for leading a six-fold expansion of that company’s business with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agencies. He also led BearingPoint’s global public sector expansion efforts and served intelligence agencies and large aerospace defense contractors.

Prior to joining BearingPoint in 1980, Geiger served for six years as an active-duty officer in the United States Navy. He retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve as a captain.
