Elopak Chooses Unisys for Worldwide IT Outsourcing Services

Unisys Corporation (NYSE:UIS) today announced that its Norwegian subsidiary signed a worldwide IT outsourcing contract with Norway-based Elopak, a leading global packaging company. Under the terms of the six-year contract, signed in the first quarter of 2007, Unisys will provide Elopak with a comprehensive suite of IT services. The contract has an estimated value to Unisys of $18.6 million.

Unisys will provide outsourcing services to support more than 1,500 Elopak employees at 33 locations in 25 countries on five continents. The services include service desk, desktop services, centralised and distributed systems management and data centre hosting. The services are designed to give Elopak a centralised, standardised and consolidated global IT environment that can support its global business strategy and make it more responsive to evolving customer requirements.

The data centre services for Elopak will be provided by the Unisys Nordic outsourcing centre in Alingsås, Sweden. The Unisys global sourcing operations centres in Bangalore, India will handle systems management services, as well as certain desktop and help desk services.

Unisys will begin the transformation of Elopaks IT environment during the second half of 2007.
